No. Contents insurance only covers your items while you're travelling within the Cook Islands. If you're heading overseas, be sure to take out travel insurance.
Our Plus contents insurance policy does cover your home office, up to $5,000 at your house.
This cover applies to any office furniture and equipment primarily used at home to earn income. This includes hardware and purchased software.

Don't worry. All of our contents policies cover mobile phones with up to $1,000 covered on our Plus policy and up to $500 on our Standard policy.
If you need more cover for your phone, just let us know and we'll increase the limit for that item.

Yes. Our contents policies cover your prescription glasses and sunglasses, contacts, hearing aids and removable dentures. We'll repair or replace them if they are damaged, lost or stolen.
We know how important these items can be to your quality of life, so we strive to get these sorted as soon as possible.
If you need your contents insurance policy to include cyclone cover, you must provide us with a cyclone certificate for your house.
Cyclone certificates should be issued by an engineer we have approved. If you choose to get a cyclone certificate from an engineer that is not on our approved list, we may not be able to accept it. Check our list of approved engineers.
It can be difficult to know how much any specific item is worth, especially after you've owned it for a few years. As a rule of thumb, consider how much it would cost to replace your contents. Not just your electronics and jewellery, but your clothing and kitchen utensils.
To help you estimate this cost, look at prices for similar items. Be aware of sales while you do this. To be safe, always use the standard retail price.
Damage to your contents through daily life, ageing and normal wear and tear is not covered.
We will cover contents of the named policy holders and their family members who live at the same address as you. If you have flatmates, boarders or guests they will need to have their own contents policy for any items that belong to them.
